St Mary the Virgin, Lewisham— a parish church in the heart of Lewisham
Today at St Mary’s
Saturday 5 September
There are no services or events at St Mary’s today.
The churchyard is open every day. The church itself is open for services, and at other times when somebody can be there — those hours are shown here when they are arranged. If you would like to come in and pray, ring us and we will arrange it gladly.

Everyone is welcome here
There has been a church on this site for eleven hundred years.
We are a vibrant, diverse and inclusive Anglican parish in the heart of Lewisham. St Mary the Virgin is the ancient parish of Lewisham, and the site is close to — and almost certainly linked with — the old well at Ladywell.
The buildings and grounds are full of historic monuments and memorials. They are also home to a worshipping community whose focus is on serving the communities of Lewisham today.
