St Mary’s opening for worship
We are pleased to announce, after prayer and careful consideration of the guidance and the evidence, that St Mary’s will open for worship together for
PALM SUNDAY 28th March 10.00am mass.
The existing precautions will still apply; masks must be worn; hand-sanitising; social distancing; singing is not permitted; no mingling in church after mass.
All services will continue to be livestreamed on our website and facebook page for those who need to stay at home.
There will be more information about this and about our weekday services and plans for Holy Week and Easter on our website and facebook.
We give thanks that God has held us together through these months and that the NHS and so many others have cared for our community and given us hope in the vaccinations. We remain cautious in our plans and optimistic in celebrating the new life of the risen Jesus at Easter.

We are a vibrant, diverse, inclusive Anglican parish in the heart of Lewisham.
St Mary the Virgin is the ancient parish of Lewisham, and there has been a church on the site for over 1,000 years. The buildings and grounds are full of historic and significant monuments and memorials, and they are also home to a vibrant and worshiping community which has a focus on engaging with and serving local communities across Lewisham.
The church celebrates all that is good about Lewisham; the place and the people.
