Foster care

Home for Good have seen an increase in children coming into care since the COVID restrictions were lifted over the summer. They ran a campaign to find foster carers for Lewisham Borough Council from local church communities to support their need for homes for children in care.

They have had their first couple of fostering households complete the assessment process and be approved to care, with two more due to be approved by the end of the month. That is four new households able to keep Lewisham children in the area, close to all those who are important to them.

Sadly, where placements cannot be found, they have to place children with carers or units many hours away.

If you are interested in being a short term foster carer, do watch this short video https://vimeo.com/470619498/2e8cc11f5e and get in touch with Home for Good at 0300 001 0995 or via their website:
